Beautiful work But a really ugly shade of green

Děkuji. Měl jsem mnoho komentářů k zelené a ne mnoho z nich pozitivních. Uvažuji o přelakování celého stroje na RAL6011, která je stejně zelená jako Deckel. Musím se rozhodnout docela brzy, ale než bude hlavní tělo stroje připraveno k lakování, v tuto chvíli je dokončena pouze hlava, stoly a kryty.

Thank you. I have had many comments about the green and not many of them positive. I am considering re-painting the entire machine in RAL6011 which is the same green as Deckel use. I have to make the decision pretty soon though before the main body of the machine is ready to paint, at the moment it's just the head, tables and covers that are finished.

Well, I decided to keep the paint colour and now I have the main frame of the lathe painted ready to re-assembly. The bottom section is not yet ready to paint, that will come later.

This machine has two sockets on the side for accessories (high speed head and work light). One has three pins, the other four pins.

I have a 4-pin plug for the high speed head but I am struggling to find a 3-pin plug for the light. If anyone can point me at a 3-pin plug I would be very grateful. They are not available in the UK.

Tento stroj má na boku dvě zásuvky pro příslušenství (vysokorychlostní hlava a pracovní světlo). Jeden má tři kolíky, druhý čtyři kolíky.

Mám 4kolíkovou zástrčku pro vysokorychlostní hlavu, ale snažím se najít 3kolíkovou zástrčku pro světlo. Pokud by mě někdo mohl nasměrovat na 3kolíkovou zástrčku, byl bych velmi vděčný. Nejsou dostupné ve Spojeném království.

It is old "K contacts type" - ČSN 35 4517 - the last producer is ABB (in this time new owner of old producer of this item - Elektropraga Hlinsko)

This is the later/other type, the pins are rotated on it so that the flats are presented to the earth pin. Mine has the ends presented to the earth pin, if that makes sense so the two angled pins will not plug in.

the ČSN 35 4517 has a number types - "D", "K", "L"......."C", "C1", "C2" ......

you must use correct type

In you machine are the "C" type (because the machines are from the time when they were used for lights in 220 or 110V), but someone once converted it to 24V, but left the original 220 or 110V "C" type socket.
Correct socket for 24-48Volt are "K" type.

Two solutions - buy only "C" type plug - (but incorrect for your 24V lamp) or change all (plug and socket) to correct type (24-48V) - "K" type.

Thank you for the explanation. It is a Type C and I was going to utilise that socket for power to my DRO at 230v. I will look at buying a plug to suit the socket.

Chci moc poděkovat titel za to, že sesbíral tuto část a zorganizoval ji k odeslání pro mě. Je to poslední kus, který potřebuji k dokončení naklápěcího stolu a pochybuji, že bych ho bez jeho pomoci dokázal najít.

I want to give a huge, huge thank you to titel for collecting this part and organising it for shipping for me. It's the last piece I eed to complete the tilting table and I doubt I would have been able to find one without his help.

Práce se blíží. Mám natřený základ, přestavěnou převodovku vřetena, nainstalovanou převodovku posuvů, namontovat automatický posuv v ose y a šroub a nasadit horní saně.

Work is coming along. I have the base painted, spindle gearbox rebuilt, feeds gearbox installed, y-axis autofeed and screw fitted and the top slide set in place.

Aktualizace o pokroku:

Mám nainstalované napájení stroje a vřetena. Také mám všechny sklíčka oškrábané a podložky hotové Turcitem. Nyní se pracuje na zarovnání, zatím to vychází opravdu dobře.

An update on progress:

I have power to the machine and the spindle installed. I also have the slides all scraped and the gibs done with Turcite. Working on the alignment now, so far it's coming out really good.
